Director Trevor has admitted to regretting the decision to make his relationship with his ex, YouTuber Mungai Eve, public, acknowledging that the criticism he faced often took a toll on him, despite trying to remain resilient.
In an interview with Oga Obinna, Trevor responded to a fan’s question about whether he regretted going public with the relationship. He explained, “At one point, yes, I did feel that way, but life doesn’t allow you to choose what comes with it. There was a time I wished I hadn’t gone public, especially when Andrew Kibe was criticizing me.”
Trevor highlighted that people often judged him without knowing the full story. “Initially, Kibe’s criticism really affected me. He would share my story without understanding the facts. At least Edgar Obare would reach out for my side of the story,” he said.
“No matter how strong you try to be, you’ll be affected at some point, but we eventually got used to it.”
Trevor, who announced their breakup in February 2024, revealed that they kept it private to protect their brand. He has since moved on and is now in a new relationship.
