Yvette Obura, a singer who sings religious songs, recently talked about the tough times she went through when she got pregnant with Bahati’s baby.

This happened while she was still studying at university, and the pregnancy made her stop going to school for a while. When Yvette’s dad found out about the pregnancy, he was really surprised and their relationship became strained. They didn’t talk to each other for two years.

Yvette looked back on what happened and remembered how her dad, who used to be in the military and was known for being strict, felt really disappointed. He told her things like, “You let me down. You were my favorite child, and you were doing so well in school. Why did you do this to me?” Yvette’s dad was even more disappointed because she had always done well in school, and he had high hopes for her future. He couldn’t help comparing her situation to that of her older sisters, who hadn’t gone through similar things.

Even though it was a hard situation, Yvette accepted it. She knew that what happened couldn’t be changed. When she got pregnant, she was already in university, so she had to take a break from her studies. Even though Yvette was okay with what happened, her dad, who was used to being in the military, found it hard to accept. He said, “Look at your sisters. They never had something like this happen to them.”

But despite the difficulties, Yvette talked about the good things she learned while growing up. She was the youngest of 14 kids in a family where her dad had more than one wife. Her dad always stressed the importance of being united and getting along with each other, and Yvette valued those teachings.

Yvette’s story shows how she faced challenges as a young woman dealing with an unexpected pregnancy, and how it affected her relationship with her dad.

Even though her dad was disappointed at first, Yvette learned to accept the situation and the importance of family unity from her upbringing. This reminds us that staying together and understanding each other are important in overcoming problems and finding strength when things are tough.
