Itumbi had contested his arrest on suspicion of being behind the hacking of the International Criminal Court (ICC) website in 2012 and sought compensation.
Itumbi, who at the time described himself as an investigative journalist, was arrested on March 22, 2012, as the ICC pursued suspects of 2007-2008 post-election violence.
He was released on March 26.
