According to Taifa Leo newspaper, officials from the directorate of criminal investigation and the ethics and anti-corruption commission have repossessed property worth millions of shillings from a staff working under the ministry of lands which is believed to have been proceeds of corruption at the ministry.
According to the court documents that were presented to court, the main suspect has millions in his bank accounts and also owned more than 17 vehicles and over 106 plots which the investigation team believe are from kickbacks.
Felix Mecha Nyakundi will now be forced to surrender the said properties after the judge handling the case gave a go-ahead to the ethics and anti-corruption commission to take the properties which will confiscated by the state.
The said staff has decried the judgment saying that his hard earned money will now go down the drain noting that he was involved in agriculture which was the main source of his money.
He has vowed to appeal the judgement saying that it denied him the right to fair hearing and representation
