Danstan Omari who is one of Pastor Ezekiel’s lawyers has revealed that the state has frozen bank accounts belonging to Pastor Ezekiel’s wife.
According to news from reliable sources, renowned lawyer Omari was addressing the media and in a tough-speaking manner demanded that the state unfreezes bank accounts linked to Pastor Ezekiel and his beneficiaries. “I do not know how you close a wife’s account. It has never happened,” Lawyer Omari said.
In addition to freezing Ms Sarah Oderos’s accounts, the state has also frozen a total of fifteen accounts belonging to Pastor Ezekiel, his children, his church and school.
“The pastor does not know how to feed the children tonight. It is terrible it has never happened anywhere in history where a school account has been closed when children are there. Closing the account of a school is constructively closing the school. They have failed to close the church so they have constructively closed the school,” he added.
“If it is the pastor you wanted, you would have frozen his accounts. Anyone who directly benefits from the pastor is now locked out. They were not given a chance to respond,” a lawyer who had joined lawyer Omari added.
Mr Omari clarifed that the Pastor does not run any foreign accounts, and argue that he is not restricted by Article 32 of the Kenyan constitution since he is not a civil servant.
He also added that the event that Pastor Ezekiel has planned to hold in his church will continue uninterrupted. The event is dubbed “Meza ya Bwana” and will begin tomorrow and will run for six days.
Pastor Ezekiel will be receiving about 100,000 attendees per day and according to his lawyer, the state has pledge to provide adequate security to handle the crowds.
