Martin Githinji aka Daddie Marto and his wife, Christine Kokueendera were interviewed on Mpasho yesterday, speaking on their life, marriage, and challenges.
One thing they touched on was how Christine reacted to the news that Marto had already been married before they met.
The actor admitted that he was forthright from the beginning, saying, “She knew on the first few days that I was already married and I made sure she knew I was serious.”
Christine revealed that she wasn’t really scared when she heard that the former ‘Tabasamu’ actor had been married. She was also confident because Marto reassured her constantly over the issue.
Christine realised that she was pregnant 6 months into the relationship, something that scared her as she didn’t really know many things about him.
“He proposed just after Valentine’s Day but she was already pregnant. I also made it very clear that the proposal was because I loved her and not because she was pregnant.”
She said that his reaction to the pregnancy news made her feel reassured and calm. And why was Marto so calm?
“I was in that space, I was ready for it. We didn’t think it could happen because of a condition she had…or still has.”
Marto went on to explain that he met Christine’s mom for the first time when he went to shtaki himself. He noted that his mom-in-law was very friendly and welcoming.
They would later hold a beautiful ruracio in Uganda.
