Kenyan actor Martin Githinji Daddie Marto and his lovely wife Christine Kokueendera. were interviewed by Mpasho.co.ke this week.
The two gave arguably their most comprehensive interview to date. The first thing they talked about of course was their relationship and how they had met.
They met through a mutual friend at Allianz Francais, with Christine saying she wasn’t into him at the time, something that Marto denied.
He joked that the next time they met, she nearly ‘killed’ herself trying to get his attention. He also said that the first thing he noticed was her big beautiful eyes.
From the word go, Marto and Christine were very intentional about their relationship being long-term. Marto himself was the first one to admit that he loved Cristine.
“When we met I was already a bit big, with four shows and an ad I had done. The reason we succeeded was that she didn’t know me.”
Christine herself said,
“I had to research him on YouTube. When I realised that he was a popular actor, I was abit apprehensive.”
But she realised that he was serious about her after he said that she should become his girlfriend 14 days after they met.
