The Meru governor Kawira Mwangaza has suffered another painful blow following a Court of appeal ruling on her impeachment. The court has ruled that, they have no jurisdiction to stop the impeachment of a governor in the senate or county assembly for that’s a matter that’s in the constitution and stated clearly.

Court of appeal in Meru County has also made it firmly clear that, issues impeachment is a political process and it’s not a legal matter. They have urged Mwangaza to prosecute her issues in the senate before coming back to Court for further directives.

The latest ruling by court is a major blow to Kawira Mwangaza in her efforts to fight for justice. She has been impeached by MCAs on simple issues and the cases against her us turning from bad to worse. Mwangaza has got support from women but unfortunately, most leaders in Meru wants her removef from office.

The fact of the matter is that, Kawira Mwangaza is waking a tightrope for a lie of issues have turned against her. Whether the governor will succeed impeachment for the second time, let’s wait and see of what will happen for it’s a fact that we live in changing times.
