A policewoman is fighting for her life in hospital after she was attacked and stabbed in an incident in Ngomongo area, Kasarani, Nairobi.
Corporal Janet Chepkorir who is attached to the KICC police station in the city was walking to her residence when she was attacked by a gang that wanted money and valuables from her.
And in the struggle, they stabbed her in the back before grabbing her bag with an unknown amount of money, her uniforms, identification documents and other valuables.
The gang escaped and efforts to trace them are ongoing.
Police say the officer was in civilian at the time of the attack and she was targeted for robbery.
