There was drama in Kitengela on Sunday, after a traffic police officer was forced to chase a mobile tuk-tuk on foot along the busy Namanga Road. The unusual incident caused a brief stir in the town as residents watched the events unfold.

According to a video circulating online, the officer was attempting to arrest a tuk-tuk driver who was fleeing from the scene of a fight involving two operators. The confrontation had reportedly started moments earlier when the two drivers stopped their vehicles by the roadside to settle a disagreement using fists.

The drivers had parked illegally along the busy highway, blocking part of the road and causing a traffic snarl-up. Motorists were forced to slow down as curious onlookers gathered, further worsening the congestion along the key transport corridor.

The commotion caught the attention of traffic police officers who were on duty nearby. Upon arriving at the scene, the officers found the two drivers engaged in a physical fight, prompting them to move in swiftly to restore order and clear the road.

Sensing trouble, one of the tuk-tuk drivers jumped into his vehicle and attempted to escape before being apprehended. This triggered a chase, with a traffic police officer running after the moving tuk-tuk in an effort to stop the fleeing suspect.

In a bold move, the officer managed to jump onto the tuk-tuk while it was still in motion. He briefly hung onto the door as the vehicle continued moving, shocking witnesses who feared for his safety during the risky encounter.The chase came to an end after the driver finally stopped, allowing the officer to regain control of the situation.
