Former Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala and his wife joined the family, friends of the late actor Xavier Jerry Nato at a Church during his memorial service.The solemn gathering saw an outpouring of grief, with Malala at times spotted in tears as he paid a heartfelt tribute to the late actor.

Jerry Nato, widely recognized for his contributions to Kenyan entertainment, passed away after prolonged battle with kidney disease.

His passing was confirmed by his brother, Davis Ivor, on Tuesday, December 31, through an emotional message on social media.

“Kabau, I hear I have to be strong, but bro, you’ve taken away every bit of strength I have. How do I accept you are no more? When does this pain stop? Rest easy X-man. Love you always,” Ivor wrote.

In recent months, Nato’s health struggles had deeply concerned his loved ones. He was admitted to the ICU after suffering a stroke, and despite medical intervention, his condition deteriorated.His battle with kidney failure ultimately proved insurmountable.

Nato leaves behind a legacy of resilience, creativity, and generosity. His impact on the entertainment industry will be remembered for years to come.

Malala, who shared a close bond with the late actor, recently posted a nostalgic video of Nato aboard a bus surrounded by Malala’s supporters, energetically leading the group in chants.

Reflecting on Nato’s passing, Malala shared a moving tribute:

“The grim reaper’s hand has robbed me of a brother. A sad day it is. Rest easy, buddy. Fly with the angels, Xavier Jerry Nato. One day, Death too shall die.”

Nato will be laid to rest on Saturday, January 18, at his home.
