It has been revealed that would he have lived, Christian Longomba has made a decision to become a gospel artiste.
Christian of the famous duo, The Longombas, was a celebrated secular artiste before he and his brother Lovy relocated to the U.S.
‘The tumour had taken up almost the entire side of my brother’s brain,’ Lovy Longomba narrates
In 2015 he was discovered to have a brain tumour which was operated on.
Sadly he recently had to undergo a second operation and it was discovered he had blood clots in the brain.
Richie Longomba, brother to the late Christian, now says as a family they are happy he is free from pain.
‘HE WAS ALREADY TIRED FROM THE PAIN, THE SEIZURES, HE WAS NOT THE CHRISTIAN WE KNEW. CHRISTIAN LOVED MUSIC SO MUCH AND IT’S THE ONLY THING THAT KEPT HIM MOTIVATED ALL THIS TIME.’
Asked about the one thing his brother would have wanted to do if he got better, Richie shared,
‘HE (CHRISTIAN) TOLD ME ‘IF GOD ALLOWS ME TO GET OUT OF THIS, I AM GONNA BE A VERY BIG GOSPEL SINGER’. HE HAD SEEN GOD AND WANTED TO SERVE HIM THROUGH MUSIC.’
We are happy that he is in good hands.’
Christian who was buried on Thursday leaves behind a wife and two kids. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and fans.
May he rest in perfect peace.
