Brian Chira’s grandma, Esther Njeri, denied purchasing a cake for her grandson’s burial, claiming it was Wanjiku, Baba Talisha’s alleged wife, who did it.

“Chira said he’d trend for five months after death,” a netizen said.

Once the burial ceremony was over, Chira’s family was seen eating cake, perhaps celebrating the life of the deceased.

“Tuliletewa cake nikakata sijui nilipea nani na nani. Ni kama nilikuwa nimefungwa macho,” she said.

Who bought Brian Chira’s funeral cake?

During the live, Nyako asked them to cut cake at Chira’s funeral, questioning whether it was a celebration. Responding to the famous TikToker, the granny claimed it was Wanjiku who bought it.

TikToker Brian Chira was laid to rest in Githunguri, Kiambu County, on Tuesday 26, March 2024, in an event attended by thousands of content creators.

Njeri also denied claims she was planning a thanksgiving ceremony after Chira’s burial.

‘Chira Clan’ as they were often referred to, showed up in their numbers to give one of their own a decent send-off, donning hoodies and caps inscribed with some of Chira’s favourite phrases.

Baba T said he was shocked by the claims, accusing Chira’s granny of lying to Kenyans. He said all the money was being sent to her pay bill and she kept checking to confirm the money received.

In a video seen by TNX, Chira’s grandmother was given a piece of cake by one of her grandchildren and later they all shared the delicacy.

Recently Chira’s grandmother, Esther Njeri, went live with Obidan, Nyako, and a few other TikTokers to accuse Baba T of misusing KSh 8 million, which was raised during her grandson’s burial.

Baba Talisha, who had lobbied friends and acquaintances to contribute towards Chira’s send-off also had a piece.

Chira’s grandmother alleged that the photographer, together with his ‘wife’ Brenda Wanjiku, took control of everything and even had PINs to her M-Pesa and bank account.
