An inmate serving a life sentence at Nakuru Main Prison has reportedly escaped. The convict, identified as Stanley Cheruiyot, had been imprisoned for the offence of oodefilement.
Sources reveal that Cheruiyot, who was scheduled for a shoulder operation this morning, managed to flee to an unknown location. It is said that details surrounding the circumstances of his escape remain unclear, but the incident has triggered a manhunt by the police.
Cheruiyot’s escape has compelled the police to put more security measures within the prison facility and beyond as his search intensifies. Investigations are currently underway to determine how he managed to evade the security measures in place at Nakuru GK Prison.
