Samson Cherargei, a senator for Nandi, has joined the list of Kenya Kwanza officials who have acknowledged that the nation’s economy is in trouble.
The Kenyan Kwanza senator has acknowledged that conditions are still very awful and that Kenyans are still suffering even with Ruto serving as president.
The reason he is urging leaders to focus on initiatives that are beneficial to the people rather than marches and other anti-Ruto activities is because of this.
Leader of Azimio La Umoja Raila Odinga has been admonished by Cherargei to cease taking advantage of already struggling Kenyans and use his rallies for greater causes.
“These protests ought to be used for more constructive purposes. Currently, they are abusing their supporters at a time when the nation is experiencing a difficult economic climate “in The Star, the lawmaker writes.
He has questioned why Raila would allow his fans to sit through a full day of listening to him while they go hungry at home.
He contends that it would be preferable if he abandoned the protests and let the populace to try to use their time more wisely as opposed to wasting it in the scorching sun.
“What use does it serve to invite your fans to spend the entire day in the sun? They could have done better and put food on the table with that valuable time, but instead they wasted it “He continues.
He said this while maintaining that Raila is to responsible for the economy’s initial sluggishness and that everything began with their handshake when they shook hands with former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Yet by admitting that the situation is still dire, he discredits Ruto, who in his campaigns pledged to make improvements as soon as he assumed power. The situation seems to be growing worse, though, five months later
