On Tuesday, December 24, MCA Sharleen Wambui shared a heartwarming photo with her rarely seen children, accompanied by a touching caption.“2024 has been such a remarkable year for my family,” she wrote. “Looking back, I must acknowledge that it is the power of God that has carried us through.”
She continued to express gratitude, saying, “I am thankful to God for His guidance, provision, the gift of my children, good health, and His abundant grace in my life.
He truly is a faithful God. From my family to yours, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2025. Sharleen, Amira, and Amir.”
Sharleen and Charlene Ruto have often referred to each other as namesakes due to their similar names.
After Charlene gave Wambui a handmade card that said, “I love the woman that you are and the woman you are becoming,” on Valentine’s Day, their connection grew even stronger.
Beyond her interpersonal connections, Wambui is an enthusiastic youth leader committed to empowering youngsters and participating in charitable endeavours around Murang’a County.She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Information and Technology from Mount Kenya University.
While there, she was actively involved in leadership as a member of the Universities, Colleges Students’ Peace Association of Kenya and served as the vice president of the student association.
Wambui gained recognition during the 2022 presidential vote count at the Bomas of Kenya, where she freely interacted with President Ruto.
As a nominee of the United Democratic Alliance, she became an MCA in Murang’a County and also serves as a Youth Senator in the Youth Senate. Describing herself as a philanthropist, mother, politician, and sober leader.
