The incumbent Member of Parliament for the Njoro constituency, Charity Kathambi, her family, the residents of Njoro, & fellow members of parliament are still mourning the demise of Mr. David Chepkwony.
David Chepkwony succumbed to death on 2nd August after battling an unrevealed illness for a very long time.
The deceased, Mr. David Chepkwony, was the husband of UDA’s member of parliament for the Njoro constituency, Hon. Charity Kathambi.
According to the reports from a credible source, President William Samoei Ruto and His Excellency Rigathi Gachagua are expected to attend the event which is scheduled for tomorrow, 15th August.
Charity Kathambi is a key leader of the ruling party, UDA, and also a close ally of President William Samoei Ruto since 2017 when she joined the race for the MP’s seat.
Charity Kathambi served alongside Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in the period between 2017-2022 when Rigathi Gachagua was a member of parliament for the Mathira constituency.
The members of parliament led by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr. Moses Masika Wetangula, and the leader of the Majority, Kimani Ichungwa are leading the members of the 13th parliament in mourning the demise of the husband of their colleague member of parliament.

The deputy president Rigathi Gachagua visited Hon. Charity Kathambi on Sunday and gave out his condolences and President William Ruto’s.
The burial event will take place at Kimugul primary school.
