Celebrated Mbaitu FM Radio Presenter Mercy Mawia alias Kamuwetangi has died following a short illness.
Mauvoo News confirmed the presenter was at South B hospital after falling ill where she lost her life after a surgical procedure.
The news of her demise was announced during the lunchtime bulletin at Mbaitu FM today by Anita Ndanu who was overcome by emotions delivering the sad news to the listeners.
“God gives life and takes it for his reasons. We are sad to announce the passing on of our lead presenter Mercy Mawia…Mercy was receiving treatment at South B Hospital after a short illness. This has been confirmed by the husband James Mwangi. As Mbaitu FM fraternity We have been hit hard.” Anita Ndanu said.
On Sunday, Mercy shared the photo of the dress she was to wear at Fortune Mwikali’s wedding in a Facebook post and disclosed she could not make it after falling very sick.
“Kaa Niko kadress that I had planned to wear yesterday arusini ya Fortune mwikali ngwangwa ,an event that I have honestly been waiting for…..Satani nuu,ninawaie weethia ndivika safari park na nivaa ilovi.”Mercy in the post said.
“Satani wi mung’ethya WA nundu ngitii.Fortune mwikali Princess oyila nivoa ngooka wikie gown tukunwe visa. Stephen Kasolo Kitole my kilalais Meshack mwengei Mc Toto mwa na niwo tunavangithitye,ndumie video nzeo nipost.Wueh,what a wedding!!!!I still can’t believe that I missed it,satani why mbindi ii, Mboyeei ndyi sawa.”The late presenter in the post added.
