Businesswoman and social media influencer Cebbie Koks Nyasego has officially announced the end of her marriage to city lawyer Steve Ogolla. The couple, once in the spotlight for their lavish December 2022 traditional wedding, has now parted ways.
Their glamorous wedding had set high standards, with prominent guests like Lang’ata MP Jalang’o and lawyer Waiganjo Kamotho in attendance. Steve Ogolla publicly expressed his love for Cebbie, gifting her a white Toyota Land Cruiser and presenting numerous cows as bride price, a gesture that thrilled Cebbie, who shared her joy on social media.
However, by early 2023, rumors began circulating about trouble in their marriage, especially after Cebbie removed their wedding photos from her social media. Despite months of speculation, both remained silent, fueling more curiosity as the couple was rarely seen together.
On October 9, 2024, Cebbie confirmed the end of their marriage through a playful Facebook post: “I am healed… You can give me another Luo man to eat my lungs kaff kaf! And to finish completely!” This lighthearted statement put an end to the ongoing speculation.
The breakup confirmation followed reports that Steve was allegedly involved with another woman, who later apologized, clarifying that her post was meant as a joke. Despite the rumors, neither Cebbie nor Steve has revealed the reasons for their split, but both appear to be moving on with their lives.
