Police in Kisii have launched a manhunt for thugs who terrorized petrol station attendants in Ogembo.
The incident that was caught on CCTV cameras took place on Monday night.
One of the station’s attendants, said the thugs who posed as police, terrorised them for over 20 minutes, and would not listen to them.
The thugs clad in police uniform came and parked their car next to the petrol station, walked in and told one of the attendants that they were looking after some thieves. They headed into a car where one of the attendants was, slapped and dragged him before robbing him of his phone and money.
Confirming the incident, Kisii County Police Commander stated that they are following leads that will help them arrest the suspects. The petrol station is one of the busiest entities in the area and police suspect it is the reason it was attacked.
The police boss added more police officers have been mobilised to the areas to beef up security in the area.
