The award-winning actress is a mother of two.

She conceived her first child just three months after she joined Makerere University in Uganda, forcing her to drop out and take care of her son.

The mother of two was emotional as Leon cleared high school, taking to social media to jubilate.

Kate shared a before-and-after picture that showed just how far God had brought them in this journey called life.

She thanked her family and friends for standing by her as she raised the young one. Kate also thanked her ex, Phil Karanja.

Phil, who became Leon’s father after he and Kate cemented their union, has never stopped his daddy duties.

She wrote: “Dear God thank you. Not once did we call upon your name, yet over and over, you showed up for my child.

We have come back to say Thank you God.

To my family, my dear friends, Baba Njeri @phil_director and his teachers asanteni sana, God bless you all . Hey Lee we did it baby.”
