There’s no happier moment than when you’re being awarded for having done the so well in what you love. That’s what happened when Ashleys Hair Salon won 3 major awards at this year’s Afro Hair Awards.
The event was filled with pomp and colour, as various beauty and hair care professionals and companies thronged the venue. This is a monumental achievement for the brand, which took home the following awards:
Best Salon of the year – Westgate Branch
Best School of the year – Ashleys Hair and beauty school
The Honorary Award – Mrs. Terry Mungai
Mrs. Terry — the CEO — has been instrumental in the success of the Ashleys brand, which has been the Miss World Kenya sponsor for many years. When asked about her success secret by How We Made It In Africa, here’s what she had to say:
“I AM VERY DARING. I AM CONFIDENT AND I TAKE THINGS HEAD ON WITHOUT HAVING DOUBTS THAT A VENTURE WILL FAIL. THOSE QUESTIONS OF “WHAT IF…” DON’T COME MY WAY. I LOVE CHALLENGES. I LOVE SUCCESS AND THAT DRIVES ME BECAUSE WHATEVER I TOUCH I WANT IT TO BE A SUCCESS.”
