Former U.S. President Donald Trump has extended his praise and unsolicited advice to Indian-American entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy during a conversation on Glenn Beck’s Blaze TV show.
Trump commended Ramaswamy’s qualities and even entertained the idea of him potentially becoming a running mate. Trump’s admiration for Ramaswamy was evident as he remarked, “I hold him in high regard.
You know, anyone who acknowledges me as the best president in a generation … well, I have an affinity for someone like that.”
Ramaswamy, according to a news publication by The Times of India on Thursday, August 31, had referred to Trump as the best president of his lifetime during a GOP debate.

Characterizing Ramaswamy as intelligent, young, and talented, Trump appreciated his energy and potential, recognizing his distinctive presence. However, Trump also advised caution due to Ramaswamy’s increasing visibility and controversy.
“He’s starting to get out there a little bit. He’s a little bit — getting a little bit controversial. I’d tell him be a little bit careful. Some things you have to hold in just a little bit, right?” Trump advised, while noting Ramaswamy’s positive interactions with him.
Ramaswamy, aged 38, has been regarded as the “winner” of the first Republican presidential debate in Milwaukee, even though Trump did not participate.
His rising poll numbers and provocative statements have garnered media attention, including advocating ceding parts of Ukraine to Russia to resolve the Ukrainian conflict and suggesting cutting off support to Israel.

In the ongoing GOP presidential race, Ramaswamy stands in the third position according to an average of polls, trailing behind Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Despite his support for Trump, Ramaswamy has proposed granting a presidential pardon to Trump if needed and encouraged other candidates to pledge the same.
Ramaswamy hinted at a potential joint ticket with Trump as his running mate if he fails to secure the Republican nomination.
While emphasizing that he believed he could only unite the nation as president, Ramaswamy didn’t dismiss the possibility of serving alongside Trump as vice president if Trump secures the nomination for a third time.

He highlighted his youthfulness and invited Trump to be his “most esteemed advisor” within the White House.
Speculation about a joint candidacy between Ramaswamy and Trump gained traction after the Trump campaign praised Ramaswamy following the initial Republican primary debate where he stood out as a prominent figure.
