It was a baptism by fire scenario today in Parliament when Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung’wah asked the wannabe CS to inform Kenyans how he intends to eradicate the issue of miscommunication by government agencies, a move that has caused an uproar among Kenyans.

In particular, Kimani Ichung’wah wanted to know whether the CS would be able to effectively communicate the content of the Finance Bill 2025, which will be introduced in Parliament in the coming weeks.
“Bwana CS, you know we have been having issues with our Gen Zs because some people in government circles are unable to sell our programs. What will you do as the CS for agriculture?” Kimani Ichung’wah asked.
On his part, Mutahi Kagwe did admit that the reason Kenyans are angry is because leaders who have been given positions have reached their comfort zones, and nobody sees the need to sell government programs.
