Famous Kenyan musician Kelvin Kioko aka Bahati has opened up about his great love for his adopted son Morgan Bahati.

In a recent interview with comedian Chipukeezy on the Chipukeezy Show, the singer described the 13-year-old boy as a special child.

He revealed that he favors Morgan so much that he pays her school fees before he even pays for his other children. “Before I pay my other children’s tuition, I always pay Morgan,” Bahati said.

He added, “I live with him. You know many people on the internet have started following us after Diana. This is a child I have had even before I got married. In fact, many women rejected me because of this child because no one was staying with a child that was not theirs.”

The former gospel singer also used the opportunity to plead with netizens and bloggers to be humane when writing stories involving his son.

He revealed that Morgan has a very sad story and therefore asked Kenyans to avoid attacking him when they attack his family.

“I have no problem with anyone attacking my family, my children. But don’t attack my first child, Morgan. I took this boy during a very difficult season of my life.

This is a child I gave to a children’s home. “He has a very difficult story that I don’t like to repeat. I took him from the children’s home I was in Mathare. Before he was even brought to the Children’s Home, he has a very sad story.

Therefore, even if you guys are writing to get likes and views, let’s have personality. These are special children,” he said. Late last month, Bahati wrote a long letter to Morgan, just days after the cyber attacks.

In the letter, he assured Morgan that he is her father despite all the negative things said on social media. Proving his commitment and love for the boy, Bahati took the opportunity to tell the long journey they have walked together since he took him from the orphanage about ten years ago.

“I looked at this picture and realized that you are becoming a Man. This is 10 years ago, the first day I met you. That day when I invited ABC Children’s Home (where I grew up) to come and perform at my Album Launch in 2013 at NPC Valley Road.

Boy I remember that day like Yesterday; the way you cried and called me father. It was very difficult for me to see you at 2 years old forcing yourself to get on the bus going back to the orphanage; I saw your pain and I saw myself through you; Having grown up in an Orphanage at one time, alone with no one to call Mom or Dad!,” Bahati said under the photos that showed Morgan’s growth since they met for the first time until now.

He continued, “My son since that day; although I wasn’t ready I decided to be a father and I took you as my son. Son Listen to me! I am your Father and You are my Son! God Planned Nothing Can Change That! When you grow up you will see a lot of nonsense and brutal things said in this merciless world but always remember despite everything, I AM YOUR FATHER AND YOU ARE MY SON! Only God knows what we went through.”

Bhati also assured his son of his great love for him and promised to support him to achieve all his dreams.
