The occasion was attended by famous figures such as politician Martha Karua and CS Aden Duale. During the star-studded event, the outspoken congressman and fellow politicians danced to many secular tunes, including Anguka Nayo, much to the amusement of the visitors.

“Allow me to present my husband, Elder Mabona. “After all that dancing, my husband is an elder in the church, which is why he is not dancing,” she remarked, laughing.

She begged him to say anything, and when he arrived on stage, he addressed the audience in French before expressing his love for Millie. “My chérie (darling),” he remarked, smiling and hugging his wife, whispering in her ear before leaving the stage.
