The head of state President William Ruto is currently on his day two tour of Nyanza region. Today he was in Homabay county, another opposition strongholds where he has reiterated that no section of Kenya will be left behind and that he is ready to work with opposition leaders.

However, he was cornered by Homabay governor Gladys Wanna while addressing the residents of the county. The Governor told the President straight on his face that they are Raila Amolo Odinga’s supporters and that they are only there because he is the President of Kenya. The residents present immediately started chanting ODM Slogans. However, Ruto responded cleverly to her.

“SI Mimi nipikuwa mtu wake wa mkono Hadi akawa prime minister. Kama Sio Mimi hangepata iyo kiti. Sasa Mimi ni rais wa Kenya na Raila ni mtu Wangui was mkono. SI namna hiyo. Tukubali tufanye kazi pamoja.” William Ruto responded to Gladys Wanga’s insightful words while in Homabay county.
