Azziad Nasenya has arrived at Kibera Law Courts on Monday morning. The Tiktoker took legal action against fellow Tiktoker Brian Chira over defamation issues.
According to Legal Information Institute; Defamation is a statement that injures a third party’s reputation. The tort of defamation includes both libel (written statements) and slander (spoken statements).
Chira was reported to have been arrested last week and has been in police custody.
Speaking to Mungai Eve, Nasenya’s lawyer said Chira will be arraigned in court for defamation and revealing the TikToker’s number in public.
“Sometime last week Chira went live on TikTok at night and the Topic was Azziad he uttered some words which I cannot repeat here but those words are defamatory and he did not stop there he went ahead and gave out her number.”
My client has for the past week been buzzed with a lot of calls and messages some of which are insults and she was not happy.”
Since we have the computer misuse and cyber crime act she choose to take legal action.”
Chira is being arraigned at the Kibera Law Courts. Nasenya appeared in court wearing a black jumpsuit, a black marvin and a denim jacket.
