Baraza revealed his willingness to cooperate with the national government. He praised the president for putting in place measures to revive the sugar industry in the region.
President Ruto was accompanied by several local elected leaders. Around ten members of parliament were present as the president launched several road construction projects in the county.
Baraza is currently serving his first term as a member of parliament. He was first elected during the 2022 general elections. He vied for the position on an Orange Democratic Movement party ticket.
President Ruto reiterated his commitment to boosting agricultural production in the region. He vowed to supply cheap fertilizer to the farmers.
