Raila Odinga, the leader of the Azimio coalition and the chief of the opposition, had today initiated a formidable campaign aimed at collecting 10 million signatures from his supporters, with the goal of impeaching President William Ruto. Addressing an anti government gathering at Kamkunji grounds on July 7th, during the commemoration of Saba Saba day, Odinga passionately declared that they would persistently march forward until the very last moment to remove President William Ruto from office. He accused Ruto of lacking any genuine concern for the welfare of Kenyans.

During the Saba Saba rally held at Kamkunji grounds in Nairobi, Odinga officially launched the nationwide signature collection, emphasizing its significance by personally signing on stage. The event was marked by anti-government protests, which took place in various parts of the country on the same day.

After the today July 7th rallies, the Azimio coalition has announced the next date for “maandamano”. While addressing the media at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga centre, Raila Odinga, the coalition chief said fresh protests will be held on Wednesday next week.
