Francis Atwoli, the Secretary General of the Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU), has thrown his support behind Raila Odinga’s bid for the African Union Commission (AUC) chairperson position. At a press conference in Nairobi, Atwoli voiced his confidence in Odinga’s suitability for the role and urged the government to advocate for his candidacy.
Describing Odinga as the best candidate for the job, Atwoli highlighted Odinga’s extensive network and relationships with current sitting presidents across Africa. He expressed certainty that Odinga would secure unanimous support if he were to contest for the position.
