Liam Kipruto, a three-year-old child attending PP1 at Goodrich International School in Katani in Machakos County, tragically met with a fatal accident. While seated in the front of the bus alongside the driver, he accidentally opened the door and fell out. Regrettably, the bus ran over his head, resulting in his immediate demise. This unfortunate incident highlights the urgent need for schools to engage in conversations with their bus drivers regarding the safety of children during transportation and the importance of adhering to speed limits.

The mother broke the news on social media, saying, “Hello everyone. My name is Mercy. I am a parent to the late Liam Kipruto of Goodrich International School Katani. On Friday, 09/2/2024, my son left home for school as usual. He was to be dropped back between 4.00 pm and 4.30 pm at the latest. He never came, and my son never came back to us. I was called and informed that he was involved in an accident. I rushed to the scene, only to find my son dead! They called me to see my dead son on the road! As a family, we have tried asking the school to come clear on this matter, but the principal has gone mute on us. I am here to ask Kenyans to stand with me if anyone has a child at Goodrich International School Katani. Kindly ask him or her to tell you what they could have seen at the scene of the accident.
