Mumias East MP Peter Salasya met a woman who asked him to marry her on April 2, 2024. They met at a Kakamega hotel and talked about her proposal. Lavyn Shantell, the woman, was happy to meet Salasya. She said she’s ready for a serious relationship and marriage.
Salasya bravely met Shantell, who publicly declared her love for him. He appreciated her, but said he would ask his online followers and constituents before deciding.
Salasya asked Shantell if she was serious about marrying him and said public opinions matter. Shantell believed they would be a great couple and promised to commit to the relationship.
“Are you serious if you want to marry me? Members of the public will have to comment. Their opinions matter. It is good I have met and known you,” said Salasya.
Shantell expressed relief and happiness, saying she found her husband. They had dinner together, and she assured Salasya that she’s ready to settle down and handle household responsibilities.
“Finally, I have met my husband. I am very happy, At least I am feeling relieved. We had ugali and chicken for dinner. You said you wanted somebody who will stay at home, Yes I’m already home and can handle anything. I am ready to settle down,” Shantell assured.
Salasya initially considered rejecting Shantell’s proposal because he wasn’t sure if he could handle her. He mentioned her physical appearance as a concern. However, he later met her to discuss their future.
“I have heard that this is trending and am not sure if I can handle her,” Salasya wrote on his Facebook post.
