Protesting Kenyans went to an extra mile of escaping with some of the important items and symbols from the parliamentary building in Nairobi.

Among those looted items include the mace. The Mace is an important item that gives Members of National Assembly a go ahead for Parliament proceedings. It is the power given to the parliament by the constitution. It always gets into parliament before the speaker enters. Being taken away by Kenyans night be interpreted as giving the power to the people.

The flag and court of arms are also important symbols of unity that were taken away by the Anti-finance Bill protestors. Some also carried a parliamentary seat from the parliament and a speaker’s attire.
