Tragic scenes have been witnessed earlier today after six tycoons from Meru county were killed and one injured in a terror attack that occurred in Dhobley, Garissa, a border town in Northern Kenya. Thee six men, who have been confirmed and as Meru businessmen, were shot and killed by Al-Shabaab militants. It was determined that the injured man, who was the only survivor was a local Somali resident.

Authorities have connected the assault to the terrorism organization Al-Shabaab, which is well-known for its operations in the area. Liboi Deputy County Commissioner Ali Manduku, who confirmed the incident, had stated that the attack happened early in the morning and seemed to be the result of rivalry between businesses.

Manduku went on to say that the group used such violent tactics to establish its dominance within the border town. More investigations are ongoing and the survivor is helping the authorities with the investigation. The deceased’s bodies are lying at Garissa hospital ready for transportation to Meru.
