Lawyer Miguna Miguna on 16th October evening resurfaced online with a bold reaction to Public Service cabinet secretary Moses Kuria proposal of introducing charges on Huduma Centres services.
Speaking via his official twitter handle, Miguna slammed CS Kuria saying kenyans cannot pay twice for services they have already paid with their taxes
According to Miguna, Kuria’s proposal is ill-advised and therefore should not be implemented.
“The public can’t pay twice for services they have already paid for with their TAXES. Ume rogwa?”, He wrote.
His statement comes off in line with Moses Kuria’s claim that Ruto’s government will introduce charges on services offered by Huduma Centres.
” What about introducing a small fee for services offered at Huduma Centre?- Moses Kuria”, The report intimates.
However reacting to Kuria’s statement, kenyans expressed their views via their official twitter handles as follows;
Pilow: Instead of finding ways to reduce the cost of living, all this government’s thinks of is to keep on burdening us with high taxes and unnecessary increment of government services. Very useless .
Dickson: At this rate, KK will force all of us to the streets. Instead of lowering the cost of living, they’re looking for ways to make it more difficult for us.
Henry: it’s same citizens who are facilitating and funding operations and labour for employees at huduma through their taxes, it’s unacceptable to demand extra cash for services offered to them.
Peterson: I knew Moses is not competitive. He thinks being a minister is all about mascarading to make the president happy. He doesn’t know he was chosen to spearhead the betterment of kenyans under the orders of the president. No wonder he was reshuffled in less than 10 months. Bad ideas.
Dora: You need a course covering Governance, not just waking up from nowhere think of ways to get money from Kenyans. National Treasury haina kisima ya pesa those are taxes. You can be recognized by being human and being a leader. Serve people not machines
