Andrew Kibe, a popular Kenyan content creator, is seeking legal assistance to sue YouTube after the platform terminated his channel, which housed over 3,000 videos and garnered millions of views. Kibe contends that YouTube’s action was wrongful and claims he was not informed of any violations prior to the termination. He also expressed frustration, stating that he did not receive any official communication, like emails, explaining the violations that led to his channel being removed.
YouTube, on the other hand, stated that Kibe violated its terms of service by attempting to circumvent restrictions placed on one of his channels by using another account to continue uploading content. This act of “circumvention” resulted in the termination of all his accounts. Despite the setback, Kibe has expressed plans to continue his content creation on alternative platforms such as Yafreeka, Rumble, and others.
