A section of Kenyans have reacted to a video recorded at Musingu Boys High School. The viral clip has impressed many who congratulated the teacher whose voice is heard on the background. The teacher has been identified as one Mr. Benson Malata. In the clip shared by blogger Cyprian Nyakundi, it shows the students running in darkness.
It is evident that the Mr. Malata went to wake the boys early in the morning. He is heard shouting and motivating them to run to class. It seems the high-pitched and deep voice of the teacher shook the whole dormitories and woke them up, the boys in response didn’t waste time, they are captured exiting their dormitories and running fast as soon as they spot their teacher who is seen carrying a cane.
Mr. Benson is heard telling the boys it’s high time to work for the school goal, that is, get 10 points. He then continues shouting, “Work for your life, work for your wife.” He also shouted, “Musigu speed,” and the boys answered in chorus,”Speed.”
This has impressed many who saw that this is the right way to to prepare learners and likened the scene to a military drill.
