Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has landed at Kabarak University for the institution’s 20th graduation ceremony.
Upon his arrival, Raila Odinga was welcomed by former MP Raymond Moi who ushered him to the former President Daniel Moi’s owned institution. Raila later got the opportunity to meet former Baringo Senator Gideon Moi who is also the Chancellor of the university.

Raila, who landed in the country on Thursday from Central Africa Republic, had been invited to Kabarak as a special guest for the graduation
“We release you to the society at a time of momentous challenges in our country…your parents and your country have offered you the education so that you can face these challenges with clarity and help to find solutions” Raila told the graduates while delivering his speech
This comes at a time when most of Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta’s allies have been appointed to top government jobs by President William Ruto.
Gideon Moi and William Ruto were entangled in great supremacy battles in the Rift Valley region ahead of 2022 general elections. Gideon, who was running on Kanu party ticket, was defeated by Ruto’s UDA candidate William Cheptumo for Baringo County senatorial race.
He would later suffer again after his presidential candidate Raila Odinga was also defeated at the ballot. It remains to be seen whether Raila or Uhuru will assist Gideon get an appointment in Ruto’s government
