In a court session at Milimani Law courts yesterday, a teenage suspect connected to the brutal demise of Eric Maigo, who was the acting finance director of Nairobi hospital, made an appearance and gave her side of the story.

The prime suspect shared a chilling account of the events that transpired on that fateful night when Eric Maigo lost his life. Ann recounted that on September 14th, at approximately 11 p.m., Eric Maigo encountered her while he was on his way home. Inquiring why she was out so late, Anne explained that she had been chased from her guardian’s home in Kibera and was feeling hungry. Touched by her plight, Maigo invited the 16-year-old girl to his residence in the Woodley Annex to have a meal, where he mentioned that there was plenty to eat.

Upon reaching Maigo’s house, Maigo offered some alcohol, whiskey to Anne to drink but she refused to drink because she had never taken alcohol. Maigo then gave her some mango juice in a glass, after she drank the juice she started feeling dizzy and lost consciousness. At around 4:00a.m, she woke up beside Eric Maigo and she was naked. This prompted her to go to the kitchen, took two kitchen knives and started stabbing Maigo who was still drunk.
