AliKiba has launched his 16-track Album dubbed “Only One King”.
The Bongo musician on Friday held a listening party for his album at Trademark hotel.
The invite-only event was attended by the who is who from the entertainment industry from across Kenya. Politician and close friend, Governor Ali Hassan Joho was among the invited guests.
Speaking to Mpasho.co.ke, Joho described AliKiba as a consistent artiste.
“Music is about context and consistency. For me, I enjoy music that has a longer shelf life and AliKiba is my long-time friend as you all know, and helpful and useful in nurturing upcoming musicians in the country.”
Joho said his best song from the album is ‘Niteme’ and that he enjoys the beats.
“It is not about music but about creative economy and we leaders need to find the importance in supporting this industry”
On why he supports artistes, Joho said there is a tremendous opportunity in East Africa.
“The point is I believe no country that can do this on its own.”
