On Friday night, July 19, 2024, former secretary of the Lands Cabinet Alice Wahome celebrated her re-nomination to the cabinet by taking to the streets.

Wahome hailed her second opportunity to serve Kenyans in Ruto’s cabinet, with a sizable gathering of supporters.

When Alice Wahome was nominated back to the cabinet, she was obviously ecstatic and joined the Kandara locals in song and dance. Later, she stood on her automobile and spoke to the residents.

She also pleaded on Kenyans to be patient with President Ruto, and let the approved programs and reforms take effect.

She contended that unrelenting demonstrations will undermine the gains, made by earlier administrations and destabilize the nation.

President Ruto announced the first group of Cabinet Secretaries (CSs) on Friday, July 19, 2024, and Wahome is one of the six previous CSs.

Aden Barre Duale, the Ministry of Defense; Prof. Kithure Kindiki, the Ministry of the Interior and National Administration; and Roselinda Soipan Tuiya, the Ministry of the Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry are among the others. Attorney General Rebecca Miano and Minister of Roads and Transportation Davis Chirchir.
