A honeymoon to Greece followed the wedding.

But what startled many Kenyans was Akothee’s lengthy message in which she revealed she had been receiving counselling and recuperating in secret.

The entrepreneur claimed that over the past few months, she has experienced a lot and at times, gone without meals.

This fuelled a breakup rumour that has now sparked a huge uproar.

Mathenge took to his Insta Stories to share his views on the situation.

He questioned the authenticity of their wedding, suggesting that a genuine marriage wouldn’t involve an extravagant ceremony with numerous celebrities in attendance.

“If you love someone for real, you can’t have a big wedding with all the big kahunas in town attending, all A-list celebs there, the most expensive rings, I don’t know, imported gown…,” Mathenge said.
Mathenge argued that a real marriage would involve a modest celebration, followed by a honeymoon.

In his words:

“You will look for a strong club and reserve one corner couch for the after-party! Only a DJ will give you 2k on the side to give them a shout-out! Tomorrow, take SGR or a polite flight to Diani and spend one week of honeymoon there! The rest of the money and the gifts you got now are for marriage! Enjoy the marriage!!”
He also compared Omosh to an actor in a music video, implying that their wedding might have been a scripted event designed for public consumption.

“I said Omosh was an actor in the music video and there is a wedding scene and you said it was a joke,” he continued.
Mathenge concluded by advising people not to be influenced by the seemingly perfect lives of celebrities on social media

“Never be pressured by social media! Anything too good is just staged to look too good! It is a script with a scriptwriter, lights, sound, make-up, vfx, props and everything to make the movie cool,” the comedian added.
