In an effort to raise awareness among the general public, the talented entertainer recounted the obstacles he encountered within his community and even from professionals who should have offered support.
Through his Instagram page, he shared how his condition was often misconstrued as a curse, making it difficult for him to grow up in such a mindset. Akuku Danger also shared a poignant moment when a doctor advised his mother to take him home and prepare for his inevitable demise, citing that he had little chance of survival due to his condition. ,
” . . . one doctor told my mother to our face that we should just go home and wait for my death coz as it seems I am never making it. ” Akuku recounted.
According to the funny man, this was not the first time he had heard such discouraging remarks from medical professionals. However, despite the demoralizing experiences, Akuku, now in his early 30s, has defied the odds and continues to win small battles against the condition. During his school years, Akuku found solace in the drama club, which temporarily allowed him to escape from the challenges imposed by his condition.
However, one of his most difficult moments occurred in early 2022 when he spent several weeks in the Intensive Care Unit. Despite the severity of his condition, he managed to recover and remains healthy to this day. Thanks to the generosity of kind- hearted Kenyans, the comedian was able to settle the exorbitant medical bills that amounted to 1. 8 million Kenyan shillings.
Despite enduring such adversities, Akuku Danger perseveres and has become a celebrated figure in the Kenyan entertainment industry. His determination and resilience have earned him admiration and support from fans and fellow creatives alike.
