Akothee, the Kenyan singer, is speaking out about rumors about a past song she did with some Tanzanian musicians. She is denying claims that people set up projects for her in Tanzania and wants to make things clear.
Akothee says that nobody from Kenya or Tanzania set up the song for her. She says a person she calls Godfather arranged it when she went to shoot Shengerera Mama.
She said Diamond was in Cape Town working with Flavour. With those contacts, she got both artists to join her project. Then, they met in Johannesburg at 20 West in Sandton, where she met Diamond and his team.
She says the song was made in South Africa, not Tanzania. She says AY was never involved. She wants proof from those who say otherwise, and warns that she won’t allow people to be dragged into this without evidence. She says AY has never planned any event or project for her in Tanzania.
About the rumors that she is dating DJ Sadick, Akothee says that he is a worker who played at two of her Akothee Foundation events.
She says they became friends through supporting each other, and denies they were dating during the Luo Festival. She wasn’t performing at the event and spent her time in the VVIP area.
Akothee says she has met many Tanzanian music people, including Salam, Diamond, Babu Tale, Harmonize, and Rayvanny. She wants to end the discussion now.
