Akothee’s glamours star-studded wedding
Akothee and Omosh, as he is popularly known, walked down the aisle in a lavish, colourful wedding on Monday, April 10.
The wedding was attended by top politicians and celebrities, among them Ida Odinga, Lang’ata MP Phelix Odiwuor, aka Jalas, Gladys Wanga, Karen Nyamu, The Bahatis, former CAS David Osiany, just to mention but a few.
The lovebirds’ wedding was christened the wedding of the year.
Akothee announced they were set to hold another wedding in Switzerland in July, but it did not happen.
Is Akothee okay?
The 43-year-old mother of five has shared a lengthy post, revealing she has been undergoing therapy and healing in private.
The vocal musician turned entrepreneur said she has gone through a lot in the past couple of months and at times went without food. She said she broke down several times while going through the dark time.
“I have come out of a very dangerous zone, and I have been healing in private. I am in my second month of therapy. The trauma I went through after finding out the truth and some ugly stuff left me shaking. I went for days without food and no sleep questioning and answering myself. It has been very heavy some days, a night will just break into a day with me looking outside the window gazing at nothing . I would be shaking for reasons I can’t explain…” she said.
Akothee said she had to put on a brave face and pretend everything was okay, yet deep down, all was not well. She thanked her ex-manager, children and a few friends for supporting her during the difficult time.
“Nellyoaks has been on speed dial. He would call me nonstop and would panic when my phone went off, my children equally especially the girls made sure we FaceTime just to check if I was okay. Rue followed me to Europe in fear of losing me, babysitted me until I could stand on my feet,” she added.
The Sweet Love hitmaker said therapy was expensive and paid KSh 50,000 per session. Akothee asked for privacy as she continues with her healing process.
