Former Law Society of Kenya President Ahmednasir Abdullahi has taken a swipe at President William Ruto’s decision to allow former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria to continue exerting influence in government affairs.

While reacting to a post by Kuria who had held a meeting with stakeholders led by Health Cabinet Secretary Deborah Mulongo, Ahmednasir wonders why Kuria now holds a lucrative post in the current administration despite being fired by the Head of State for being unfit to hold a Cabinet Secretary position.

Ahmednasir argues that Kuria’s reasons for dismissal are in the public domain since they are weighty grounds that have since been enumerated in a press release.

He questions how President William Ruto saw it fit to allocate Kuria the post of a senior advisor in his government to advise people Ruto perceived to be competent to hold office and yet Moses Kuria was deemed to be unfit.

The Grand Mulla feels President Ruto should be blamed for such questionable decisions in the current administration as he believes that a sacked Cabinet Secretary on grounds of incompetence cannot be advising competent Cabinet Secretaries.

“Kenya is a funny country. My good friend Hon @HonMoses_Kuria was unceremoniously fired by H.E @WILLIAMSRUTO a few weeks ago for several weighty grounds that were enumerated in a press release. President Ruto subsequently reconstituted his cabinet. Now we have the very man who was fired and found wanting and unfit to be a cabinet secretary all over the place dishing advice to those whom President Ruto found competent and fit on how to run their respective ministries. I swear this country is not serious! And the blame squarely falls on the shoulders of President Ruto.” Ahmednasir posted.
