Advocate of the High Court Mrs. Getty Jemutai Kigen has published on her official Facebook page, revealing to netizens what she was told by a deceased Priest Fr. Hillary Bassy of Catholic Diocese of Eldoret. In her post, Kigen has category explained about the conversation she had with Fr. Bassy on Phone that is last week. She has captioned in her post that they talked about several things and one of them was about his health.
Kigen has gone ahead in her post saying, Fr. Bassy reached out to her, telling her that he was reaching out to his close friends to request them to assist him in raising funds so that he would be able to buy a car. Advocate Kigen was one of the late Priest’s close friend as she has illustrated in her post. It is during that time that the late Priest assured her that he had fully recovered and he was ready to continue with his priestly duties.
Advocate Kigen has further stated that, in her conversation with the late man of God, they agreed that once people were done with January pressing issues, then they would consider looking into the matter of helping him buy a car of his choice. But Today, Wednesday 14th January, 2026 in the morning after getting on WhatsApp, she came across sad news about the passing of Fr. Bassy.
Kigen has said she has been hit by this sad news. For her she was sure that Fr. Bassy had fully recovered and she was going to be part of his friends who would have contributed something towards helping him get a car of his choice. She wrote.
