Boniface Mwangi, a prominent photographer-turned-activist, has issued a scathing statement against President William Ruto’s leadership. Taking to his X handle, Mwangi criticized Ruto for spending excessive time meeting people at State House instead of utilizing his harambee office for productive governance. Mwangi also claimed that the government has been targeting him with threats and intimidation.

In his statement, Mwangi said, “Ruto Amenipigia Simu Mara 3 Akiniita State House Tuonge. Kama Unataka Tuongee Enda Uonge Na Hao Vijana Uliua Kwa Maandamano, Sio Kutuma Watu Wakuje Kuharibu Ofisi Yangu, Hii Kenya Si yako.” His bold remarks accuse the president of avoiding accountability for alleged misconduct during protests and attempting to silence dissent through intimidation.

Mwangi added, “The constant trolling, goons sent to our offices, and threats to harm me are all because I said I’m not interested in meeting President Ruto. Here is my statement on the direct attacks from state operatives. Yaaani Zakayo Amejam Nimekataa Kwenda State House. Sitishiki Na Sibanduki.”

Mwangi’s fearless stance and accusations have intensified the scrutiny on President Ruto’s administration, highlighting concerns over freedom of speech and political intimidation in Kenya.
