Film director and actor Abel Mutua has shared memories of the first day he set his eyes on his teenage daughter.
In a session with his daughter Stephanie, the little one asked her father what he remembered about the first day he set his eyes on her.
“The year was 2010…month January…date 5th…at exactly 12:10 AM. I remember that time we were with uncle Phil, we had just come from some petrol station along Limuru road. We just received info that someone had just been born,” Abel narrated.
Mkurugenzi went on to share how ‘weird’ his daughter looked after she was born.
“I found the nurses trying to take your weight and vitals. They measure newborns by putting them on a cold scale. You looked a bit weird…you had some white things on your body, looked like you had been dipped in Unga.”
He also said holding her in his arms was a beautiful feeling.
“You were handed over to me, I think you were 3.2 kgs at the time. I looked at you for the first time and I saw my mum. It was a beautiful feeling,” Abel told his 12-year-old daughter.
